NAMU Lux is a women-led company founded by Indonesian women with a deep commitment to preserving and celebrating Indonesia's rich artisanal heritage. Working closely with skilled Indonesian tailors, artisans, and craftspeople—many of whom are women operating from their homes and small studios—NAMU Lux creates thoughtfully crafted collections that honour traditional techniques while embracing contemporary design. Italian-born Paola brings a wealth of experience in the world of luxury goods, having collaborated with renowned designers such as Miuccia Prada, Giorgio Armani, and Vivienne Westwood. Throughout her career, she has curated immersive events, exhibitions, and installations internationally, blending high fashion with cultural narratives. Paola has a keen eye for beauty and an appreciation for the unique, which has led her to style some of the world's most glamorous women and men for red-carpet events. A passionate advocate for fair trade, slow fashion, and the preservation of age-old artisanal techniques, she is deeply committed to showcasing traditional craftsmanship. Based in Bali, Indonesia, Paola serves as Marketing Director for NAMU Lux, leading the brand's marketing initiatives and communications. Through brand storytelling, partnerships, and marketing activities, she helps promote the company's commitment to Indonesian craftsmanship, women's empowerment, and sustainable luxury to audiences around the world. Her appreciation for timeless design and understated elegance aligns closely with the philosophy behind NAMU Lux, reflected in her favorite quote by Leonardo da Vinci:

Philosophy
NAMU, Korean for tree, is symbolic of that which is rooted in the celebration of artisanal skills and the joys of nature. It is committed to lovingly sustain age-old artisanal crafts and techniques, respecting the process and people behind the products.

Artisanship
NAMU has always been about craftsmanship, the Art of Slow, the Art of the handmade. We work directly with artisans to keep alive age-old techniques such as Indonesian Screen-Printing, Batik and Indian Block Printing. We embrace fair trade and ethical sustainability and we support small, local businesses and try to implement their work environment yet respecting everyone’s culture. The subtle color variations you might find in our products are the signature of the human hand and what makes the piece unique, one-of-a-kind.
